Applications for the 2025 programme are now open! Applications close on January 6th 2025 at 12 noon.
Applications will be reviewed in January 2025, and the outcome will be announced in February 2025 for a start in late April 2025.
Introduction
New to this year process, applicants will be evaluated solely on their written application. There are no interviews as part of this selection process. Therefore, we are placing an increased emphasis on candidate consultation with academic supervisors in advance of application submission.
This is a positive, and iterative process to best support the projects development. The academic supervisor should provide advice on the proposed project and the written application. This will ensure the project is ready to be started at the beginning of the Fellowship and is able to be completed within the 12-month programme. To support this process, we have extended the period in which applications are live (until 12 noon on January 6th 2025).

Other NIHR ARC EoE researchers are also available to supervise. You can explore our other researchers and their interests via the researchers page. Our Academic Career Development Coordinator, Alice Wreford (E:a.wreford@uea.ac.uk) will also support candidate in signposting applicants to potential supervisors.
Applicants can also apply without a prospective supervisor. If the applicant and application score well, we will help the applicant identify a supervisor post application.
