We are pleased to share the release of the NIHR ARC East of England Annual Summary 2024, highlighting the impactful work from across our research themes and key workstreams.
Our annual summary gives an overview of new studies and developments across our research themes and workstreams. This year, we are proud to report that we have been awarded over £10 million in research grants and have established a new Public Involvement Hub, ensuring our research is informed by members of the public.
The summary features multiple case studies from across the ARC, showcasing the diverse range of research projects aimed at improving outcomes for patients, service users, and the broader community. Additionally, we have examples of our research supporting the sustainability of our regional health and care systems, including workforces.
This year’s summary highlights our commitment to engaging with diverse communities to tackle health and care inequalities, including prison populations, minority ethnic groups, and neurodiverse communities. We demonstrate how we are actively incorporating our research findings into daily practices to enhance health and care services and support the workforce. The report also emphasises the pivotal role that the ARC East of England plays in building collaborations with organisations across our region and in the UK for the future of the ARC. In light of our recent knowledge mobilisation funding, we are excited to share some of the work already underway in this area.
“It remains a great privilege to be associated with the impressive work of the ARC. 2024 has been another fantastic year, particularly when you consider the impact our work continues to have on real people and the service support they need. We continue to build on this.”
