Kristy Sanderson is a Professor in Applied Health Research at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and she is the Theme Lead for NIHR ARC East of England’s Mental Health and Wellbeing theme.

Kristy joined the School of Health Sciences, University of East Anglia in January 2017 as Chair in Applied Health Research. She leads a work programme on mental health and wellbeing of health and social care staff and learners. 

Kristy has been researching mental health in the workplace for more than 15 years, in partnership with staff, employers, industry groups, and trade unions. Her current interests include workplace wellbeing interventions, health of shift workers including sleep and fatigue, and mindfulness and other compassion-based approaches.
