Marlene Kelly

Research Fellow

Marlene Kelly is a Care Home Director and a researcher in NIHR ARC East of England’s Social Care, Dementia & Ageing theme. In addition, Marlene was a previous ARC East of England Fellow, during which she formed, and now leads, ARC East of England’s Care Home Team Knowledge-Building Network.

Marlene is dedicated social care professional driven by compassion and a profound commitment to enhancing the lives of those we support in Adult Social Care. Drawing from 25 years of practice across day activities and residential homes, she blends hands-on experience with bridging the areas of academic research and practical social care application. In addition to that, Marlene volunteers as a Director for a creative arts organisation, demonstrating her devotion to fostering community well-being. In Marlene's leisure time, you'll often find her exploring the great outdoors alongside her family, embracing the beauty of nature and quality time together.
