Measurement in Health and Social Care Our theme uses data and applies health economics and evaluation to explore and address the health and care needs of our region. The insights we generate strengthen the effectiveness of services and support improved wellbeing for communities locally and beyond.
Mental Health and Wellbeing Our theme focuses on communities experiencing the greatest mental health inequalities. We will improve access to support, strengthen services, and advocate for the needs of the health and social care workforce, including unpaid and family carers.
Palliative and End-of-Life Care Our theme seeks to generate high‑quality evidence to improve palliative and end‑of‑life care experiences for everyone involved. We will address the inequalities faced by many groups and use these insights to inform palliative and end‑of‑life care services that deliver fair, person‑centred care for all.
Prevention and Early Detection in Health and Social Care Our theme tackles health inequalities by working with local communities and health and care organisations to improve access and outcomes. We will build the evidence for effective prevention approaches that improve population health and ease pressure on local services.
Social Care, Dementia and Ageing Our theme addresses the varied social care and health needs of older people, providing evidence to help services promote independence and wellbeing alongside complex health needs, while also strengthening the workforce that supports them.
