Lizzie Kenedler is a Clinical Nurse Specialist who works in CAMEO, Early Intervention for Psychosis (EIP) Team. I have worked in Clinical Practice in CAMEO for 20 years, research in CAMEO is embedded within our clinical practice, this has resulted in CAMEO delivering evidence-based practice to deliver the best possible care to people experiencing their first episode of psychosis.
My research interest lies with exploring women’s presentation to EIP services between the ages of 40 and 60 where it is well documented that woman have a second wave of vulnerability to developing psychosis. I want to understand their clinical presentations, their care and treatment and ultimately understand if services understand the role of the menopause within this. My aim is to support best evidence based clinical practice to these women to safeguard their recovery and personalise their care and treatment.
