Get involved in research with ARC East of England’s Public Involvement Hub

We are looking for members of the public who are passionate about enhancing the quality of health and social care through research to join the ARC East of England Public Involvement Hub. This group will meet once a month for 90 minutes online.

We are pleased to invite members of the public to join the ARC East of England’s Public Involvement Hub, a newly formed initiative that will prioritise the experiences and thoughts of the public in our research projects and ensure that our research is relevant, useful and beneficial to everyone. There are no special qualifications or experience requirements. We want to involve people from across the East of England who have a range of experiences and backgrounds.

This group will meet monthly for 90 minutes on an online platform, where you will hear from a researcher who will present their research project. As a Public Contributor, you will be asked to discuss and provide feedback on a specific area of the research. You will be reimbursed for your time at a rate of £25 per hour. We are currently looking for up to 10 people to join this group.

"We're really excited to work with more people from across the East of England to shape applied health and social care research."

Bryony Porter, NIHR ARC East of England's Public and Community Involvement, Engagement and Participation (PCIEP) Lead

Public involvement is integral to our research and many of our projects have involved members of the public to enable us to engage meaningfully with the communities that our research directly affects. Whether that is designing an intervention to support unpaid carers or advising on the best ways to engage with communities

If you want to make a difference in research and make your voice heard, then join the ARC East of England Public Involvement Group by contacting our Public and Community Involvement, Engagement and Participation (PCIEP) Lead, Bryony Porter, at Bryony.Porter@cpft.nhs.uk
