Joanna Reid

Measurement in Health and Social Care Co-Theme Lead

Dr Joanna Reid (formerly Anderson) is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge and she is the Co-Theme Lead for NIHR ARC East of England’s Measurement in Health and Social Care theme. In addition, Joanna is also a researcher in the across the ARC East of England’s Mental Health and Wellbeing theme.

Joanna has a background in clinical psychology and child and adolescent neuropsychology. As a mixed-method researcher, she specialises in the development, evaluation, and implementation of complex interventions. Her current work focuses on child and adolescent mental health, with a particular interest in school-based mental health initiatives, early identification of mental health difficulties, and the development and evaluation of programmes that support young people’s mental health and well-being. Several of Jo's projects involve the use of public health data and data linkage. In her work she utilises new technologies to deliver personalised, adaptive interventions designed to enhance mental health and improve access to care.
