Julieta Camino

Dementia Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr Julieta Camino is an Associate Tutor at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and a Dementia Postdoctoral Researcher in NIHR ARC East of England’s Social Care, Dementia and Ageing theme. In addition, she is part of the ARC East of England's DEM COMM programme.

Julieta is an Occupational Therapist who has extensive clinical and research experience working with people living with dementia and supporting their family and formal carers in this role. Julieta completed her PhD at the University of East Anglia which focused on the identification and understanding of how extrinsic and intrinsic dementia factors (including the human and the physical environment) affect the ability to complete daily tasks in people living with dementia. She is currently working on increasing the understanding of the available interventions that exist to provide carers with the information they need to support their family members when carrying out daily activities. She aims to develop a thorough programme to upskill carers so that they can promote people living with dementia’s participation in meaningful tasks.
