Dr Julieta Camino is a postdoctoral researcher funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) through the East of England Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) and the University of East Anglia. She is an Occupational Therapist who has extensive clinical and research experience working with people living with dementia and supporting their family and formal carers in this role. Julieta completed her PhD at the University of East Anglia which focused on the identification and understanding of how extrinsic and intrinsic dementia factors (including the human and the physical environment) affect the ability to complete daily tasks in people living with dementia. She is currently working on increasing the understanding of the available interventions that exist to provide carers with the information they need to support their family members when carrying out daily activities. She aims to develop a thorough programme to upskill carers so that they can promote people living with dementia’s participation in meaningful tasks.
