Anne Murphy

Dr Anne Murphy is a Researcher-in-Residence at Norfolk County Council in Children Services, and is part of the NIHR ARC East of England's ASCENT programme.

Anne is based at the University of East Anglia (UEA). She joined UEA in 2018 for her doctoral studies. In her time there, Anne has worked on several research projects run by the School of Social Work at UEA in partnership with social care agencies. She teaches on the Social Work Qualifying programme.  

Prior to her academic career, she worked as a social worker for fifteen years in roles supporting looked after children and adoptive families.  Her research interests include out-of-home care, and qualitative research methods.
