A review to investigate the impact of providing end-of-life care during Covid-19 on the mental health and wellbeing of non-specialist health and social care staff, and what supports might help

Project Aims:

The aims of this review were:

1. To understand the experience of non-specialist health and social care professionals providing end-of-life care during disease outbreaks and humanitarian disasters.

2. To understand the impact of providing end-of-life care during disease outbreaks or humanitarian disasters on non-specialist health and social care staff mental health and wellbeing.

3. To identify recommendations from health and social care staff for practical (e.g. education / training, access to PPE) or psychological (e.g. wellbeing apps, counselling) support for non-specialist health and social care staff providing end-of-life care during disease outbreaks or humanitarian disasters.
