I am a data analyst with experience in machine learning, simulation modelling, and operations research.

I joined the program to further develop my skills in predictive modelling and survival analysis, with practical applications to healthcare challenges, and to apply recent research in practice.

About Iuliia's fellowship project

Title: Early Cancer and Cardiovascular Risk Prediction: Machine Learning Approach

Cancer and cardiovascular diseases account for a significant proportion of preventable deaths. At the same time, no progress was made in diagnosing cancer at stages 1 and 2 between 2013 and 2021. Predictive analytics, leveraging data available in healthcare settings, offers a powerful solution to this problem. The aim of this project is to develop predictive models that enhance the early detection of cancer and cardiovascular conditions, improving screening outcomes and reducing mortality rates in the East of England.

Supervisor: Professor Havovi Chichger, Anglia Ruskin University
