Suffolk GP, John Havard and Consultant Advanced Nurse Care Practitioner, Suzy Robinson Southey have developed a new innovation "NEWSflash" to support care home staff to monitor signs of early deterioration in care home residents. NEWSflash is a simple screening tool that, if abnormal, can lead to both NEWS2 (National Early Warning Score 2) and a more formal clinical assessment.
