Laura Angco is a general practitioner, usually working as a GP and clinical researcher at Staploe Medical Centre. With an interest in Primary Care and Mental Health, she will be joining the iVALID team to work on her ARC fellowship project: mapping the depression pathways across primary and secondary care. With the aim of understanding how current NHS resources are used, and how we can optimise care to create better outcomes for patients, she is passionate about the practical application of research and improving services to benefit both clinicians and patients.
Alongside these roles, she is also a part of the CRN Eastern Primary Care Research Leadership group, and was the recipient of an NIHR Greenshoots award to develop her skills as a clinical researcher. Prior to becoming a GP, Laura completed her medical degree at Imperial College London, as well as a BSc in Neuroscience and Mental Health.
