Joanne Clark

Research Fellow

Joanne is an Occupational Therapist (OT) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH). She has worked as an OT for over 30 years mainly working with people who have neurological conditions. In the last few years she has worked within critical care and developed an interest in improving outcomes for people who have had severe brain injury and their families.

Joanneā€™s project aims to identify current practice within Major Trauma Centres (MTCs) regarding the use of sensory stimulation for people who have an impaired level of consciousness. Additionally her project aims to identify the enablers and barriers to the implementation of sensory stimulation by healthcare professionals and family members. Her project will include audit of patient documentation (at CUH) and the use of a survey of MTCs.
