PhD opportunity that NIHR ARC West are jointly funding with the NIHR School for Public Health Research.
Funding is a available for ONE 3 year fully-funded PhD scholarship with the tuition fees and PhD consumables being met by the scholarship funding. Please note that there are four titles to choose from but only ONE award. Candidates should indicate on their application which of the four title(s) they are most interested in.
The titles are:
1 . Psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on NHS staff, lead supervisor Professor Paul Moran
2. Optimising the impact of the school environment on children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing, lead supervisor Professor Esther Crawley
3. Co-producing sexual health services with Black African and Black Caribbean communities to reduce HIV stigma and increase testing and treatment, lead supervisor Dr Jeremy Horwood
4. Understanding why parents may choose to withdraw their child from relationship and sex education: a mixed-methods study to explore individual and contextual factors related to withdrawal, lead supervisor Professor Rona Campbell
The PhD is full time, for 3 years commencing October 2020.
