Candidate Eligibility

Our Fellowship programme is open to people working in health, care, and the voluntary sector across the East of England. Learn more about the requirements to apply for the Fellowship.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be working within a health, care, or voluntary sector organisation.
  • Be working in the East of England.
  • Not hold a PhD, nor be enrolled in a PhD programme.

Additional notes:

  • Healthcare professionals with a clinical doctorate (e.g. DClinPsy, MD) are eligible to apply
  • The Fellowship is also open to those currently in an academic post who hold an honorary contract with an organisation that provides health or care services, e.g., an NHS Trust, a Local Authority. Their project needs to be aligned with the current health and care priorities. For example, a university lecturer employed at a university in the East of England, who holds an honorary contract with an NHS Trust (one day/week), and aspires to undertake a research fellowship at their NHS setting, addressing one of our regional health priorities, would be eligible to apply for the ARC Fellowship
  • Applicants must be able to commit time to undertake a small-scale research or implementation project alongside their existing role

If unsure, please contact our Fellowship Programme Coordinator at arceoe.rcd@uea.ac.uk for an early discussion.
