In virtual event, we are inviting our social care colleagues to find opportunities to develop and incorporate research into their services and careers.
This webinar will be moderated by Prof Eneida Mioshi, NIHR ARC East of England Deputy Director & Academic Career Development Lead and it will feature talks from:
- Charlotte Minter, Senior Programme Manager at NIHR Coordinating Centre who will discuss NIHR social care opportunities, including Local Authority Short Placement Award for Research Collaboration (SPARC), Pre-doctoral Local Authority Fellowship, Doctoral Local Authority Fellowship and Advanced Local Authority Fellowship. Charlotte will also discuss 'top tips on how to make a competitive fellowship application.
- Dr Bryony Porter, Public and Community Involvement, Engagement and Participation (PCIEP) Lead at NIHR ARC East of England will share her experience of the Local Authority SPARC scheme.
- Prof. Eneida Mioshi will discuss the ARC East of England flagship Fellowship programme, which welcomes people from a social care setting.
- Deborah Sheppard, Programme Manager at Hertfordshire County Council who will reflect on her experience as an ARC East of England Fellow.
This event is open to individuals who work in a social care setting in the East of England.
