The next ageing and multi-morbidity theme quarterly meeting will focus on the "compassionate neighbours" concept and, in particular, its delivery in the East of England.

About the meeting:
We will have presentations from staff and service users involved in a Compassionate Neighbours project run by Hertfordshire hospices, which provides one to one and group environment to older people.
The aims of the project were to:
- Improve wellbeing and quality of life Bring people together through helping patients, family members, carers, and volunteers to reconnect to their communities Reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
- Ensure equitable access to services so anyone in need of palliative care can easily access the support they need, at the earliest opportunity
- This project was funded by the Big Lottery Community Fund and evaluated by the University of Hertfordshire (click here for the final report).
