Dr Adam Wagner is the Theme Lead for the Health Economics and Prioritisation theme, based within the Health Economics Group at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Adam originally trained as a statistician (PhD from the University of Strathclyde) and subsequently completed an MSc in Health Economics at UEA (funded by the former CLAHRC EoE). Adam provides health economic and statistical input into ARC linked projects and beyond, focusing on economic evaluations and modelling of healthcare interventions. Outside of the ARC, two principal projects he works on include: INHALE (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/inhale-project/), which is looking at the potential of molecular diagnostics for hospital-acquired and ventilator-associated pneumonia in UK critical care; and E-Vac, which is finalising an endoluminal vacuum therapy device for the management of upper gastrointestinal leaks.
