
Dr. Joanna Anderson is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Psychiatry and an NIHR Senior Fellow. She is a deputy theme lead for Measurement in Health and Social Care Theme NIHR ARC East of England.
Jo has a background in clinical psychology and child and adolescent neuropsychology. As a mixed-method researcher, she specialises in the development, evaluation, and implementation of complex interventions. Her current work focuses on child and adolescent mental health, with a particular interest in school-based mental health initiatives, early identification of mental health difficulties, and the development and evaluation of programmes that support young people’s mental health and well-being. Several of Jo's projects involve the use of public health data and data linkage. In her work she utilises new technologies to deliver personalised, adaptive interventions designed to enhance mental health and improve access to care.
