Dr Silvana Mengoni is an Associate Professor in Research and Joint Head of the Centre for Health Services and Clinical Research in the School of Life and Medical Sciences at the University of Hertfordshire.
She has particular expertise in applied research with children and adults with learning disabilities and/or long-term health conditions. Her methodological expertise includes clinical trials, process evaluations and mixed-methods research.
Examples of her recent projects include
(1) ‘WIELD 2’ which explored self-management and quality of life for people with learning disabilities and epilepsy.
(2) ‘Making Positive Moves’ which aims to identify how to sustain community living for people with learning disabilities and (3) studies exploring feeding and eating in young children with Down syndrome.
