Brioney is a post-doctoral research psychologist working as part of Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust's research development programme. The development programme aims to work with the Trust’s service-users, clinicians and the local community to co-design applied mental health research projects to address real-world priorities. Brioney leads on the development of research focused on the mental health needs of children, young people and their families. Brioney is currently working with ARC East of England research projects, including the parent-led CBT. In Brioney's role at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, she has been involved in a wide range of research projects and has developed a particular interest in improving access to mental health support through approaches to intervention that sit outside of traditional NHS mental health service settings (for instance, through working with schools and colleges, social care, and the voluntary sector).
