Before joining Health Innovation East Ben amassed significant project management experience at local and national level, specialising in health and wellbeing projects enabling positive healthy lifestyle behaviour change.
While at Public Health England Ben delivered a national, healthcare professional, peer to peer training programme. The programme delivered an increase in knowledge and skills, while enhancing confidence to support populations to be more active.
Ben specialises in providing effective implementation support, assisting individuals and/or organisations in the process of implementing novel innovations, new pathways or technology. This includes technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Working alongside the Applied Research Collaboration, Ben uses his knowledge to help build the implementation capacity within the research community across the East of England, including facilitating and leading education workshops, identifying opportunities for adoption of promising research and offering 1-2-1 support to research fellows.
