Allison Bentley

Research Associate

Allison has a background in community nursing (district nurse and Parkinson’s nurse specialist), with a PhD exploring living and dying with Lewy body dementia. Her previous research experience includes working as a study co-ordinator across East Anglia for a NIHR funded project ‘DIAMOND-Lewy’, which aimed to improve the diagnosis and management of Lewy body dementia (Parkinson’s disease dementia, and dementia with Lewy bodies). During this time, she was awarded a CLAHRC fellowship which led onto her PhD exploring the palliative care needs of people living with Lewy body dementia.  He academic interests include community and dementia palliative care, with a special interest in narrative research. She is currently a palliative care research associate in the department of Public Health and Primary Care at Cambridge University, working with the ARC East of England Palliative and end of life care themed studies.
