
Bárbara joined the ARC East of England and the University of Cambridge in January 2020. She works in the Primary Care Unit in the Palliative and End of Life Care Research Group. Her work is in the provision of out of hours community care. Bárbara is a Clinical Psychologist specialised in Clinical and health psychology by the College of Portuguese Psychologists. Bárbara has a European Certificate in Psychology and is a member of the American Psychological Association. She was a research assistant in the EU funded PRISMA project and, between 2011-2014, was an EU funded EuroIMPACT Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher Training Fellow at King’s College London, Cicely Saunders Institute, where she remains as a visiting research associate. Her work was about generating evidence on implementing patient-reported outcome measures in clinical practice to facilitate outcome measurement and improve practice in palliative care.
