Angela is the Business and Operations Manager for the ARC East of England and has worked in the host Trust, CPFT, with the NIHR since 2006. Previously Angela managed CLAHRC East of England, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CLAHRC and the East Anglia Hub of the Mental Health Research Network. Her clinical background is in social care, where she worked as a care manager, and a team leader for home care in community-based services for older people. She also managed a Day Care Centre for older people on behalf of a local charity. Prior to that, she had worked for seven years at a local water company within the Facilities and Company Secretariat departments. Angela has a first degree in Psychology from the University of York, an MSc in Psychology, and a Professional Diploma in Management from the Open University. Angela is also an ILM qualified coach and coaches colleagues throughout the Trust and the East of England region. She has previously been involved in research, looking at social group formations within an older people’s day care setting, and young children’s predictive reading abilities.
